Love me some Spray Paint!

I have learned a big lesson in the last year! About love you ask, sort of- about patience, a little- about not judging a book by its cover... yes!
All of those lessons combined taught me that.... wait for it.... I buy something because I love the shape, size and price- not the Color!!!
Color can be changed- that's where my buddies over at Rustoleum and Krylon come in- do you hear me spray paint Gods? I am singing your praises!
Here are a couple examples- I knew I wanted some sort of something on my kitchen island to go next to my floral arrangement- something that would know no season- So on one of my urgent trips to Hobby Lobby- I saw the perfect sized thinga-ma-jig! But... oh the color- no bueno! I love some gold accents but this would have been out of control for me-
See exhibit A:

Remember that patient word? Well I don't have much of it when something comes to mind- so I raced home (oh wait! did I mention this was in the clearance isle for $2.99? nice!) and grabbed out everyone's trusty color- Oil Rubbed Bronze- and
Ta Da!!!!

Just what I wanted- I didn't spend but about a minute spraying it because I didn't mind if a little gold peeped through here and there- and it had a rough surface so it didn't need primer- so there you have it!

Exhibit B:

These little cuties were at an antique store and were practically nothing- and after seeing some little pears at my Mother-in-Law's house on our vaca that I was contemplating shoving in my purse  that I really liked- the wheels started turning...

These were the right size... so why not change the Color to this fabulous spring green!

But before I sprayed the Green, I sprayed Frosted Spray paint because with a smooth surface it will help the color then stick better- basically a primer!

and here you have these little beauties!
I loved them with the all over green but decided to paint some brown on the stems to add some dimension.

You may have seen them on my New Built Ins Post

Well I hope you liked my little mini transformations- what quick changes are you planning? After all... it's not permanent!
